This is one place in our home where our emphasis is on learning. However, most learning doesn't necessarily even occur here. You learn wherever you are and whatever you are doing! Learning is not something we can box up and give out.  Education is not a commodity--it is an attitude.  Education is not what you learn just in a classroom...it is what you learn in all of everyday life.  Life is the classroom.

So, in this room we would like to share some of the things that we have learned as educators in order to link resources to those who can most benefit from them. We would also enjoy sharing some of the things from our students. Ultimately, our goal is to be life-long learners where life itself is our school.

As mother and co-educator, I am rewarded and challenged daily. We feel that academic excellence and standards are necessary and good. They provide a feeling of achievement and personal self-worth for each child. However, we try to use many creative, innovative, and unusual ways to facilitate learning, so that the focus is not merely rote and memorization alone.
